Adopt-A-Pet Days at Ace Hardware Stores

Baltimore, MD (July 13, 2010) - "Home improvement" means much more than hammers
and nails to Federal Hill Ace Hardware and Waverly Ace Hardware. As part of their ongoing effort toward community service, the neighborhood stores will host Adopt-A-Pet days on two Saturdays in July:

July 17 - Federal Hill Ace Hardware
July 24 - Waverly Ace Hardware (in conjunction with their 1-year anniversary celebration)

The retailers have partnered with Baltimore Area Rescue and Care Shelter (BARCS), who will have a pup on hand during each event for plenty of enticement, as well as information on the adoption process and other programs offered through the shelter such as fostering and dog training. The adoption fee is $65 and covers spay/neuter surgery, an adoption class and essential vaccinations.
Both stores are offering 30 percent off pet supplies to customers who adopt through August 31, 2010 and show their adoption papers and coupon. For anyone who has had even the slightest inclination to give a furry friend a home, this is a great opportunity to get all the need-to-know information.
Prospective pet adopters can preview dogs and cats in need of a home at BARCS' web site. Adoption forms can be downloaded here.
