EVENT NOTICE ~ FOR Sunday, 25 April 2010

On Sunday, 25 April 2010, the March of Dimes - March for Babies 2010 Walk-A-Thon will be held. This event will start and finish at Oriole Park at Camden Yards. There are 6,000 expected participants.

The race will start at 9:00 AM at Parking Lot B (Lee Street). Walkers will walk on the spine that connects M&T Bank Stadium with Oriole Park at Camden Yards, and proceed north on Eutaw Street to Pratt Street. Walkers will then go east on Pratt Street and south on Light Street. Participants will then turn onto Key Highway. From Key Highway, walkers will turn right on Lawrence Street and then right onto Fort Avenue. Walkers will take Fort Avenue to S. Charles Street, where they will turn north, and then will turn west onto Hamburg Street from S. Charles St. Walkers will then cross the Hamburg Street bridge and finish the walk at parking lots B & C.

The designated walk route will have a lane coned for the participants, and the Department of Transportation will deploy Special Traffic Enforcement Officers to direct traffic. The following intersections will also be barricaded:

Lawrence St & Harvey St

Charles St & Gittings St

Hamburg St & Creek St
