Join the volunteers to circulate the petitions to coordinate the parking hours on the peninsula - to insure that AREA 30 has the same hours as Federal Hill and Federal Hill South.
This coordination of hours in all three areas has been suggested by Baltimore City as it will alleviate the confusion in signs, reserve first opportunity to park for the residents but still allow the business community 2 hour parking during the daytime hours.
To sign or distribute the petiton email area30parking@gmail.com
The new hours would be:
“NO PARKING / 6PM – 7AM Monday – Saturday / 2PM – 7AM Sunday /
EXCEPT WITH AREA 30 PERMIT //
2 HOUR PARKING LIMIT/ 7AM – 6PM Monday – Saturday / 7AM – 2PM Sunday /
EXCEPT WITH AREA 30 PERMIT ///
TOW AWAY ZONE DURING STADIUM EVENTS”
ALL OFF-STREET SPACES MUST BE UTILIZED PRIOR TO OBTAINING A DECAL.
LIMIT 4 DECAL PER HOUSE.
(OSP and 4 permits per household already in effect for 1/1/2009)

So this means that there will be no parking for night time businesses. Where will there customers park. My vet closes at 7pm. Does that mean I have to get there and be out of there by 6pm. Just think about the local businesses that are open on Sunday. I know of a lot of residents that have more than 4 permits and 1 visitors house per household.

As of this year there will be a maximum of 4 permits per residence, 1 visitor pass, and the owmners pof properties with off street parking will have to use the pads before getting permits.

The number of night time business in AREA 30 is very limited.

Who do we contact with in the parking authority to make corrections to the amount of parking spaces assigned(that was made by the parking authority)?? I am looking for the person who has the authority and will come out and visually make the determination. Thanks
